Labs
Introduction & Background Material (Videos – Vimeo)
- ASU Online IT information
- Remote Experiments (Introduction)
- Computational / Simulations (Overview)
- Data & Error Analysis (Error Analysis Review)
- DYOR – Literature / Resources Search (Google Scholar, Scopus)
Pre-Lab – Working with Experimental & Computational Data
- Experimental Data
- Computational Resources & Data
- Data/Error Analysis
- Lab Quiz
- Lab Quizzes are take by students on Canvas
Lab 1 – Molecular Thermodynamics – Properties of Gases
- Experimental – Remote Acoustic Interferometer
- Sign-up Sheet (Shared Google Sheet)
- Sign-up for remote instrument time between Jan 21-25 & Jan 26-30.
- The remote experimental data should be collected between Jan 21-25. The extra time between Jan 26-30 is just to help students that collected data between Jan 21-25 and upon doing analysis, realize that their data is not optimal and want the opportunity to recollect better data. Students should NOT procrastinate and be collecting initial remote experimental data during the last few days before the entire lab 1 project is due (Jan 31st).
- ASU VPN (required to access remote ASU computers)
- Requires ASURITE ID and Password
- NoMachine – (Host: nx://10.200.97.9:4000)
- chm343 username and password (provided on Canvas)
- Sign-up Sheet (Shared Google Sheet)
- Computational – molecalc.cloud
